Home Loan Eligibility by Salary
See how much home loan you qualify for based on your monthly salary. Each guide below shows the eligible loan amount, the EMI it implies and the FOIR headroom left over — all computed at 8.5% p.a. over 20 years with a 50% FOIR ceiling and no existing EMIs.
Check your exact eligibilityHow these numbers are worked out
Lenders cap your total monthly obligations at a share of take-home pay — the FOIR (Fixed Obligation to Income Ratio). That capped figure is your EMI capacity, and the eligible loan is simply the largest loan whose EMI fits inside it at the given rate and tenure. Change the rate, the tenure or your existing EMIs and the number moves, which is why every page above also shows a sensitivity table.
Many banks apply a stricter 40% FOIR at lower incomes, so treat the figures here as the upper end of a range and confirm the lender's policy before you plan a purchase.
